Get to know the people behind vanXcapes. A small team, a shared passion for vans and the Canary Islands, and the belief that freedom on four wheels should feel simple, personal and well organized.
About us
vanXcapes was founded by Nik and Elena — two different backgrounds, one shared love for freedom, nature, and life on the road.
After travelling through Europe by van for around three years, we discovered how powerful this way of travelling can be. Vanlife gave us a feeling of independence, simplicity, and connection with nature that changed the way we see vacations. Waking up by the ocean, parking close to mountain trails, following the light, feeling the wind, and discovering places you usually only read about in travel blogs — this is what inspired vanXcapes.
Today, even though we have a fixed base, vanlife is still part of who we are. Whenever we have free time and one of our campervans is available, we still take the road ourselves. That is why our vans are more than rental vehicles to us. They represent a lifestyle we know, love, and want to share with other independent travellers.
Our mission is simple: to offer premium campervan rental in the Canary Islands for people who value freedom, comfort, authenticity, and a real connection with the places they visit. We combine the flexibility of vanlife with standards you can trust — well-maintained vehicles, quality equipment, thoughtful details, and clear, transparent rental processes.
Behind vanXcapes is a dedicated local team. We currently work with three operational team members in Fuerteventura and two in Tenerife, making sure our campervans are prepared, maintained, cleaned, and ready for every adventure.
Nik takes care that the team has everything needed to keep the fleet reliable, safe, and road-ready. Elena shapes a smooth, personal guest experience, because renting a campervan should feel easy, transparent, and well organized from the first message to the return.
What drives us most are the moments around the journey: the excitement when guests leave for their road trip, and the glowing eyes when they return full of stories, photos, and unforgettable memories.
