Our Story

vanXcapes was founded by Nik and Elena — two different backgrounds, one shared passion for freedom, nature and life on the road.

After travelling across Europe by campervan for almost three years, we discovered something that completely changed the way we travel. Vanlife wasn't just about sleeping in a van; it was about waking up by the ocean, following the sunshine instead of a schedule, parking next to mountain trails, finding hidden beaches and ending the day wherever the sunset looked most beautiful.

That feeling became the inspiration for vanXcapes.

Even today, although we now have a permanent base, vanlife is still part of our lives. Whenever one of our campervans is available, we take it ourselves. Every new route, campsite and viewpoint helps us improve the experience we offer our guests.

Our mission is simple: to create premium campervan holidays that feel effortless. Modern VW campervans, transparent pricing, everything you need already included, and genuine local support whenever you need it.

Behind vanXcapes is a dedicated local team in Tenerife and Fuerteventura preparing every vehicle with the same care we would expect for our own road trip.

Meet Nik

Nik is happiest behind the wheel of a campervan with no fixed destination. What he loves most is the freedom to change plans on a whim—stopping at a quiet beach, discovering a mountain road that wasn't on the map or enjoying breakfast with an ocean view.

His favourite camper is the VW California Ocean. For him, it perfectly combines everyday driving comfort with true vanlife freedom. Easy to drive, quick to set up and ideal for spontaneous adventures.

If you ask Nik for recommendations, he'll probably tell you to leave the tourist hotspots behind. Some of his favourite places are the wild west coast of Fuerteventura around El Cotillo and the mountain roads through Anaga in Tenerife, where every corner reveals another breathtaking view.

Today, Nik focuses on keeping every van reliable, safe and ready for the next adventure—because nothing should interrupt a great road trip.

Meet Elena

For Elena, the best part of vanXcapes isn't the vehicles—it's the people.

She loves helping guests plan their adventure, answering questions before they arrive and seeing their excitement during the handover. Nothing makes her happier than welcoming travellers back a few days later with stories about places they never expected to discover.

Her favourite moments are often the simplest ones: watching dolphins from a quiet beach, enjoying breakfast outside the camper or finding a peaceful overnight spot far away from busy tourist areas.

Elena believes that exceptional service starts long before the keys are handed over. That's why she works to make every booking, every question and every handover feel personal, straightforward and stress-free.
